My name is Lynn and I live in Yuba City, California. Sutter County is a beautiful multi cultural community just 40 miles north of Sacramento in the Sunshine State of Northern California.
We recently relocated here from the coastal town of Coos Bay Oregon. The climate change has stunned my system with rising temperatures recently topping 107 degrees. Needless to say we have been confined to our 1 bedroom, air conditioned apartment with our 3 small dogs whom insist on being walked daily. I try to depart early enough to beat the heat while allotting myself some much needed coffee time each morning.
My husband of 10 years and I are active within our Churches ministry serving our areas homeless population with hot meals weekly and a food pantry offering not only food, but hygiene kits, dog food, cat food as well as resources to local services in the area. I am always seeking out the latest resources that often don't get updated right away. These people need help NOW and often don't have time to wait for a warm place to sleep, medical care and other newly sprouted programs like the 14 Forward program our community just launched. I do intend to dedicate an entire post on later this week. It is a super cool opportunity for our areas homeless.
My favorite thing to do is likely what I am doing right now. My ability to write and get my readers engaged is something I am always looking to perfect. I often get a bad case of writers block that can span into weeks. I am hoping a blog will allow me to be more consistent. I have tried many times to launch one only to fail when I see it going off topic. I will not be isolating my blog to one subject, but rather I will be all over the board. My hopes are to cant a wider net to get more readers. I want to offer my readers things like giveaways and direct ya'll to things that interest you!
